6 steps to swinging like Tiger Woods

Learning to swing still is the single hardest thing in my career. We never have the perfect golf swing.  We never perfect it.  It is just not possible.

Hitting Irons from the Tee Box

As unlikely as it sounds this is a completely different type of shot from using a driver off the tee. There is one main problem If you do not make sweet enough contact with the ball, you ball will go no where and your club will vibrate in your hands, which trust me is not pleasant. Only one tip I can give here. As usual visualize your shot before hand, then step up but concentrate on having as smooth a swing as possible. Focus on sweeping through the ball and lifting it off the tee, and remember to hold the swing afterwards.

3 golf tips for getting out the heavy rough

If you find yourself in heavy rough, the most important thing is you do not get bogged down and take ten shots to get out of there. If need be, take an extra shot just chipping out onto the fairway instead of being overly ambitious and going for the green over some trees hitting from deep rough. Your game mentality is important here as well. You need to be able to concentrate on getting out of the rough, not on the fact that your last shot went into the rough. As usual the first step is visualizing the shot. Determining the best course of action. Remember you will often be able to recover from the rough. However , if you are in deep rough, take the safe option, and chip out. It is always more advisable to take the safest option, as risks in golf, such as hitting through trees, rarely pay off.

Simple tips for your best ever round.

One good tip is to make yourself as comfortable as possible. So, if you are planning on playing a full round, go to the toilet before hand. This is no joking matter. The most off putting problem on a round is needing to pee whilst trying to play a shot. Yes, you can go somewhere behind a bush, but there is no guarantee there will be an opportunity to go on every hole, so empty yourself before you go out and don’t drink to much when you are on the course.

Play out the fairway bunkers like your not in them

This shot is one of the easier bunker shots to play. If you do get caught in a shallow fairway bunker it is really not much of a problem. In some cases, if the ball if laying nicely on top of the sand, I believe it can even be better. (more…)

Easily Drive the Ball Straight Every Time

This shot often catches people out. Many golfers say they consistently play a bad drive from the fist tee, due to the pressure of other people watching. If this is the case for you, you may want to visit our Pressure Shots section for advice.  Other than this the only other thing you can do is to hit the driving range or get a driving net, until you can hit drives untill the cows come home.

Notice your chipping improve with these technique

This shot is often called the chip shot or a bump and run. The general idea of the shot is to bounce the ball from the fringe of the green and to end up with it rolling close enough to the hole to easily sink the next putt, or even to chip in to the hole.

Perfect Approach Shots in Golf

These shots can be the hardest shots in the game. If you have hit a good drive, you may feel under pressure, not to mess up your game by pulling this shot wide. The first thing that needs to be addressed here, is your mental attitude towards the shot.
